In 2002, Darius Rucker released his solo studio album, Back to Then. The R&B and neo-soul effort was, at the time, a side project while Rucker was in between tours with his Grammy Award-winning band, Hootie and the Blowfish. For this reason, we have not seen another solo effort from Rucker until six years later. In 2008, he signed with Capitol Nashville and released his first country music album, Learn to Live. The record became his breakout hit and topped Billboard’s Top Country Albums. Learn to Live notably spawned three number 1 country songs, “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It,” “It Won’t Be Like This for Long,” “Alright,” and the number 3 hit, “History in the Making.” All these singles earned gold, platinum, or multi-platinum. Meanwhile, the album sold over one million copies, achieving platinum status in the U.S.

With the commercial success of his major label debut as a solo artist, Rucker has established himself as a prominent country music singer. Two years later, he would continue his winning streak by topping Billboard’s Top Country Albums again with his sophomore effort, Charleston, SC 1966. The album featured two more number 1 Country singles, “Come Back Song” and “This.”

Rucker moved on to release two more number 1 albums in 2013, True Believers, and 2015, Southern Style. He has also released a total of 9 number 1 country singles, his latest being “Beers and Sunshine,” spawned by his 2021 compilation album, #1’s – Volume 1.

American outfit Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors will join Rucker on the highly-anticipated show at the Bald Hill Amphitheater. Since 2005, the band has established themselves as one of the most energetic Americana bands in North America. The band has released several studio albums, including their highest-charting effort, Medicine, released in 2015.
On Saturday, 5th August 2023, fans can look forward to the band’s iconic staples, such as “What Would I Do Without You,” “Without a Light,” “Find Your People,” “American Beauty,” and plenty more!
